Orwell

We welcome you to our new and exciting plans for our current build and development project based in the charming, quaint and quiet village of Orwell, south Cambridgeshire.

Orwell is in an ideal location for quick and direct access into Cambridge city with only a short 10-minute drive. The house is also notably close to the famously picturesque village of Barrington and the popular village of Shepreth.

Shepreth, only a 5-minute drive away, has a train station with trains regularly running into Cambridge and London. It is also home to a fantastic wildlife park, a fun and exciting place to visit with your children or grandchildren.
This stunning house is also very closely located to Wimpole Hall estate, a National Trust Estate, offering beautiful scenery, wonderful walks and cycle routes and a year-round diary of exciting events.

Orwell is also host to a delightful old excavation site in the side of a hill. It makes for a wondrous walk as it is now overgrown with wild flowers and is grazed by rare breeds of sheep. “The Clunch Pit” has views into three different counties, as the pit places visitors a couple hundred feet above the village below. It also contains a very small cave.

If you are hoping for nearby educational settings, there are an array of nurseries, playgroups, schools and a very popular college. These are scattered in the nearby villages of Wimpole, Barrington, Haslingfield, Comberton and Barton.
