W e are really looking forward to starting on our projects this year. 2021 really does hold some exciting new adventures for us.

We are kicking off the new year with some more builds; one very special one indeed. The one I want to talk about now, is a project at Hay Farm, Therfield. This is going to be a passive house! Passive house is a standard of build, set to ensure that the home is as energy efficient as possible. This is going to be an exciting challenge for us and we can’t wait to get started.

We have always endeavoured to ensure that our builds are energy efficient and we have always received an energy rating of A. Now, we are going to take it to the next level.

Currently, there are very few passive houses being built in the UK, and we are so pleased and excited to be able to say that we have this project ready to start in 2021.

This will be an excellent family home, boasting 4 bedrooms for your ever growing needs. This home really won’t disappoint; we will continue with our signature style and expert craftsmanship throughout. There is no need to worry about the aesthetics as passive houses have come a long way since they were first built. These days you won’t be able to tell the difference, not from an aesthetic perspective anyway.

You really will be able to sit back and relax in the stunning landscaped garden. There will be no need to worry about the monthly costs as these will be as low as they possibly can be due to the passive house standard. This home really does offer it all, and then more.

You will have an excellent space downstairs with an open plan kitchen/diner, perfect for entertaining, family time or even just getting cosy and reading a book. Passive houses are the future; they are built to stand the test of time. Various different techniques are used to ensure the internal systems work as well as any other conventional system, better if anything. These really are the next generation of homes and what a great way to lead us into the New Year!

This passive house will be on the market but unfortunately not for a couple of years or so. We will keep you updated on our progress.

We are keeping to our promise of building “happy ever afters!”
